One of the most beautiful café interiors in Cartagena, right next to Plaza Bolívar. The space has a vaulted triangular ceiling with exposed wooden beams that gives it a warmth and character unusual for the city. Nía is a social enterprise guided by a pastry chef from Hart Bakery in Denmark, built around Colombian fruits and local ingredients, and committed to supporting vulnerable communities across the country. You can tell the care that goes into what they make: the desserts are made with honest ingredients, the gelato is excellent, and they use high quality Colombian chocolate in their recipes, and as chocolate makers ourselves, we have to give credit where credit is due. The specialty coffee is genuinely good. If you want a well-prepared cup alongside beautiful pastries and desserts in a stunning setting, this is the place. Best visited during the day as it closes at 9 p.m. and the dinner menu is limited.
