Pascal is our top brunch recommendation in Cartagena, full stop. Born out of chef and owner Alejandro Martínez's desire to create a relaxed, high-quality space after the pandemic closed his previous restaurant, Pascal in Getsemaní has become a genuine institution. The food is exceptional: local ingredients, creative preparation, and the kind of care that makes everything taste better than it should at the price. The owner is often in the restaurant himself, which says everything about the level of attention this place gets.
The Getsemaní location is small and fills up fast. The sliding glass doors sometimes appear locked when the restaurant is at capacity, which can be confusing if you don't know what to expect. Arrive early or be prepared to wait. The Bocagrande location is larger with both outdoor seating and AC, a better option if you're a bigger group or arriving later in the morning.
