Rabo del Pez is one of those restaurants that leaves a mark. From the very first time we tried it, it jumped straight to the top of our recommendation list—neck and neck with our number one. Tucked down a quiet alley just a short walk from the clock tower, it’s a romantic, low-lit space with a modern edge: glass-door fridges display the day’s fresh catch as you enter, and a sparkling open kitchen lets you watch the team work with quiet precision.
The food is thoughtful and refined—anchored in Colombian ingredients, but globally aware. Seafood leads the charge, but every dish (including the desserts) reflects a deep understanding of flavor and balance. And as chocolate makers, here’s a detail we especially love: they’re one of the few restaurants in town using fully traceable Colombian cacao. That kind of sourcing speaks volumes.
The chef—also behind Pascal, one of the best brunch spots in town—feels like he’s gone all in here. This is the elevated expression: more intention, more technique, and more to remember.
