US Shipping Update

The short version: we've paused all chocolate shipments to the United States. Not because we wanted to, but because we could no longer guarantee your chocolate would arrive in the condition it left our workshop.

What happened

For years, packages under $800 moved through US customs quickly under what's called the de minimis exemption. In late August 2025, that rule was suspended for all countries. Now every single package, no matter how small, goes through full customs processing.

For most products, that just means a slower delivery. For fine chocolate, it's a dealbreaker. Orders that used to reach your door in about 3 days started taking more than a week, with boxes sitting in warehouses along the way. Bonbons and bars that left Cartagena in perfect condition were arriving melted.

The messages started piling up: delayed shipments, refund requests, and worst of all, ruined gifts and disappointed chocolate lovers. We take that personally. Rather than keep rolling the dice with your orders (and your trust), we turned off US shipping until we can promise the experience you deserve.

What we're focused on now

  • In-person experiences in Colombia. Tastings, workshops, and our stores in Cartagena and Medellín. If your travels bring you here, this is Magno at its best. Explore experiences →
  • Growing across Colombia. Our Colombian store, magnochocolates.com, delivers nationwide. Perfect if you're sending a gift to someone in Colombia.

What's next

We fully intend to ship chocolate to the US again, and we're working on how to do it reliably. Much closer on the horizon: Colombian coffee shipped to the US. Coffee doesn't melt, and we can't wait to share ours with you.

From all of us at Magno: we're sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. We'd rather disappoint you once with a pause than over and over with melted chocolate.
